Today we stayed on at Patara and did a little recuperating and a lot of Ruinious walking. The Patara ruins include Lycian, Greek, Roman and Byzantine. The cover several square miles and include a lighthouse, a 100 metre main street with colonades on either side, an amphitheater and a small stadium which housed the first meeting of the Lycian League in the 3rd Century BC ( see photo of Clare addressing the leaders)
