The mist made it a bit mystical as amazing views of the coast would suddenly appear and then disappear behind the shroud.
We were walking through mist when we heard a piercing animal shriek. After one or two variations we were confident it was human and we were in no danger. It was a shepherd calling his goats. We never saw the shepherd or his flock but we were adopted by a solitary goat who followed us bleating for about a kilometer.
We stayed at a farmhouse run by a Scottish woman and her turkish husband. It was the only accommodation in the valley and they knew it. We are now broke and need to get to the next town fast. The food was lovely though as he was a chef before retiring. They had filter coffee and I overdosed. Turkey seems to have tea (their own leaf), Nescafe instant and occasionally Turkish coffee.
